What this tool is
Shorts titles are scanned on a phone, often next to a looping video. This generator is a separate tool from the long-form title generator because the job is different.
How it works
1
Name the clip
One moment, not a series bible.
2
Get short lines
The model is asked to stay near 50 characters and skip “complete guide” language.
3
Match the first frame
If the title promises a mistake, the first second should show it.
Example Shorts titles
Topic: a 20-second caption-cleanup clip.
This caption mistake is why your Short looks messy
Problem
CapCut captions in 15 seconds
How-to
Stop centering every word
Opinion
Before you post another talking-head
Warning
Shorts title habits
- If it needs a colon and a subtitle, it’s probably a long-form title.
- The first 3–4 words have to work without the rest.
- Use the regular YouTube title generator when the video is not a Short.
Questions people actually ask
How long should a YouTube Shorts title be?
YouTube still allows up to 100 characters, but Shorts are read on small cards. 20–45 characters is usually easier to scan.
Can I reuse a long-form title on a Short?
You can, but a 70-character guide title often looks unfinished on a Short. Write a shorter line for the clip you actually posted.
Do Shorts titles guarantee more views?
No. The clip, the hook, and the audience still do most of the work.
